Equipped with emergency visuals and sound: LED light bars, warning lights, sirens, sometimes 2- or 3-tone sirens, and optional penetrating lights in the grille

Often painted in fire/emergency colors or reflective livery, especially when used as a VSAV

3. Interior & Medical Layout

The patient compartment is designed for hygiene and efficiency: materials include reinforced PVC or polyester paneling that’s easy to clean
Included fittings often comprise:

Partition with sliding window (for communication between cabin and patient area)
Stowage: cabinets, drawers (sometimes with removable inserts), storage for medical gear, oxygen, and first-aid kits
Seating: a squad bench with seatbelts, a doctor/attendant seat, and sometimes pivoting or adjustable chairs
Stretcher system: electric or manual loading stretcher with adjustments

Environmental controls: heating (including auxiliary Webasto), optional air conditioning in patient cabin, plus ventilation fans

Electrical setup: includes 12 V and 220 V outlets, fuse/control panels, external shore power options, lighting (LED).

Oxygen: on-board system with cylinders (e.g., 2×10 L), regulator, humidifier, flow meter, outlets; often with mounting storage
Safety gear like fire extinguishers, IV hooks, sharps containers, emergency bags, and stretcher support equipment
